Continental recalls large batch of motorbike tyres

Around 70,000 tyres from the TKC80, ContiGo!, K62 and LB ranges are subject to a recall in the US due to the possibility of cracking.

All of the tyres that are likely to develop cracks in the tread were manufactured between 6 January 2019 and 30 April 2022. In addition to being sold to retailers, they were supplied to the assembly lines of KTM, Husqvarna and BMW Motorrad. As of 1 May 2022, the tyres of the troubled ranges have been blocked for sale in the USA.

The motorbike tyre manufacturer will notify all of its partners of the recall campaign from 30 May to 10 June and from 6 June to 17 June customers whose motorbikes are affected will be informed. The tyres covered by the recall campaign will be replaced free of charge with similar tyres produced without any technological defects.
